At BENS, the relationships between the children, parents, teachers and staff create a strong sense of community, which is an integral part of our philosophy. We invite families to partner with us and provide volunteer opportunities both inside and outside of the classroom. Some of these opportunities include the BENS parent group, family holiday celebrations, classroom Shabbat dinners and family hikes. Our greater Beth El community offers many ways to connect, learn and play. We offer monthly Shabbat services geared towards children aged 0-5, an annual Shabbaton at Camp Newman and our highly anticipated themed fundraising gala.
We also have special programs for parents and families which include kindergarten readiness night and parenting workshops. Some of the themes of our workshops include conscious parenting, anti-racist parenting, how to effectively communicate with your child, potty training and child development through a Jewish lens.
